Why Tim Scott?

Many believe that a person can be a “natural born leader”. This is unfortunately, not true. Leaders are not born. They are bred. They emerge from a series of circumstances and life experiences that are all perfectly aligned with the divine master plan that God has created.

So, Why Tim Scott?

What qualifies this man to help another? And why would he want to?
The why is quite simple. It all goes back to our childhood. From the time we were toddlers it has been in our nature to share what we know. The first time you figured out how to color in the lines, you wanted to show all the other kids how to do it. The same is true for Tim Scott.

God has shown him how to reach his highest potential; spiritually, emotionally, physically, and financially. And now the Lord has ignited a desire in him to share what he knows with you.

What qualifies this man?

Tim believes that his success can be best captured in the philosophy found in Luke 6:38 which teaches that giving starts the receiving process.

Many of Tim’s business successes can be largely attributed to his commitment to involve himself in numerous community service endeavors.

Distinguished Service Award from CSU
Executive Board Trident United Way
Chamber of Commerce Board
Aviation Authority Board
Rural Mission Board
Heritage Trust FCU Board
Human Service Commission Board

Tim’s community service also included being elected to serve as chairman of a public organization with

200+ million dollar budget
2,000 employees
Nearly ½ billion dollars in assets

He was chosen to lead the county’s economic future as the chair of Charleston County Economic Development Committee. During his time of service, they created over 6000 jobs and had over 600 million dollars of capital investment.

These endeavors proved not only to be personally fulfilling but over time they became professionally rewarding as well. A large majority of Tim’s success in business comes from his belief in a “relationship sales” approach. The success of this technique becomes apparent when community relationships result in a more profitable business model.

Building a new insurance agency to over 2,000 clients in less than 4 yrs
Creating in excess of 2 million dollars in revenues in same period
Winning new agency of the year award
Winning agency of the year award
Earning the coveted Agency Achievement award (only 50 out of 13,000 awarded)
Numerous other industry awards

Tim’s success as a national sales leader and agency owner for this 117 billion dollar insurance company with over 70,000 employees has been recognized at conferences internationally in such places such as Sweden, Australia, and London.

Tim believes his success can be mirrored by applying a similar relationship focused approach in your organization.

The Goals Workbook

In the workbook we discuss what it takes to make workable goals that are consistent with your vision. We work through a specific process for each category of your life. By the end of the process you will recognize your strengths and weaknesses, areas of interest, and your ultimate destination. The goals workbook will take you from inaction to the heights of your wildest aspirations.

The categories we will discuss:

Professional Goals

Physical Goals

Emotional Goals

Spiritual Goals

Financial Goals

Recreational Goals

Social Goals

Mental Goals

Each category will ask you questions to stir your imagination, once the “pot is stirred” your ability to begin to dream will be expanded.

Life By Design

The Life By Design system is the cornerstone of Tim Scott & Associates. This is an in depth program for individuals who wish to design their life and not drift through it. Our system will encourage you to intentionally decide to discover your untapped potential in order to design tomorrow.
Life By Design will look at these areas:

Conscious: Investigates living habitually versus living intentionally.

Dreams: Constructive daydreaming can harness the power, passion, and purpose of your future into a motivating force today.

Values: What is most important to you? Learning to balance your values and your livelihood.

Vision: Paint a mental picture of a perfect day. Why is this a perfect day?

Mission: Distill from your vision statement the ultimate purpose of your life.

Goals: “Fail to plan. Plan to fail” It was once said. Actively begin the process of working on goal achievement.

Results: Measure what you have achieved and where these achievements are taking you.

Financial Independence

Understanding the biblical principles of financial independence will help you excel in your quest toward financial freedom. First, you have to believe that God wants you to be financially independent. Second, when you achieve that independence you must know that money has to have a mission. Money is not an indication of your worth as a person but it is an indication of your value to the marketplace.

The financial independence series will help you focus on these areas:

Your compensation is an exchange for the value of your time.

Understand your value to the marketplace.

Increasing your value will increase your compensation.

Learn about your unique potential.

Financial independence in America is accumulated through profit.

Money needs a mission or the mission of money will be you

Workplace Evangelism

The goal of church attendance includes equipping the members to be ambassadors for the kingdom. How do you look at your job? The lay leader can be a very effective worker for the cause of Christ. Learn to reach people at work and other settings through the PEAK process.

PEAK Performance

P is for Preparation – Are you prepared to be a conduit for the message?

E is for Excellence - Do your work unto God, with excellence.

A is for Attitude - Your attitude can determine your altitude.

K is for the Kingdom Approach - What did Jesus do? He dealt with the needs of the people.

“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:23

Model The Way

People in leadership positions can manifest change in the lives of those they influence through provision not perfection. Leaders that model the way are led by the Spirit because they recognize the flesh is weak. Their responsibility is to get out of the way so that God can work through them. Who sets the pace? The leadership does this by allowing the Spirit of God to pull out what is on the inside and bring to the surface everything that is needed. They go through the steps of modeling to change the path of their organization.

In what areas do they model the way?

Spiritually. The leader sets the tone in this area. Others in the organization will be influenced by the spiritual example set by leadership.

Physically. Does the pastor have bad habits? Does he take care of the body that God has given him?

Mentally. Is the pastor constantly learning? Are you prepared before speaking to the congregation?

Financially. Does the pastor give cheerfully and live a balanced prosperous life? Does he teach prosperity and personal responsibility?

Professionally. Does he lead with excellence? Is he professional about his responsibilities?

Recreationally. Does he take time away for refreshing himself physically and intellectually?

Socially. The leader exemplifies his vision by involvement in the community.

Emotionally. Church leaders must exhibit emotional stability by dealing with various church crises and individuals in an even handed fashion
